Translation Aritaṉ of Pāṅkāṭ(u) caused to be carved.6

1. ṇā in ARE (B. 276 / 1965-66). A small cleft in the rock cuts across the letter horizontally.

2. ña in ARE.

3. pāṅkāṭṭa; construed as pāṅkāṭu + a 'of Pāṅkāṭ(u)'.

4. aritaṉ. cf. harita (Skt.), harīta (Pkt. inscr.).

5. koṭṭupittōṉ.

6. 'the drip ledge' is understood from the context.
